CBC, in cooperation with G.O. Ministries, established a church, feeding center, and school in one location next to a dump site called The Fly (La Mosca) near Santiago. CBC is providing funds for the building, cooking equipment, meals for starving children six days per week, a water purification system, and Pastor Jonas' salary. We have an annual fall break mission trip there.

In Mark 2:15, the apostle tells the story that "as he reclined at the table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners were reclining with Jesus and his disciples, for there many who followed him." This table was a place where the most sinful and hardest people could experience Jesus. It was also where the self righteous religious folk were welcome, but they too were confronted with the majesty of Christ. Our vision is to be that place, not a location, but a people who take the gospel and plant it among the poor, homeless, drug addicted, violent, and religious.
Ricky Love, former member of CBC is the lead pastor at Matthew's Table. This church plant is based out of Richmond, VA, a city rich in history, but also is violence and destruction. Their vision at Matthew's Table is to see the gospel planted, churches created, lives changed, cities renewed, and the world reconciled to God.

Sojourn New Orleans
Sojourn New Orleans is a movement of Christ going out to people. In an increasingly post-Christian culture the "come to us" church model does not work as it did in previous generations. So, we live authentic lives in the culture, and glorify God by making disciples. We hope to be catalysts for transformation through the gospel, authentic Christian spirituality and the kingdom of God.
Crestwood Baptist prayerfully and financially supports this work. We also work with Sojourn New Orleans on mission project endeavors.
