40 Days of Service
August -September 2010
Join us as we serve the Oldham County community in a variety of ways over the span of approximately 40 days. Take a moment to read the service opporunities below. Click on an event below to sign up to volunteer. The team leaders of each event will contact you with more information closer to the event date.

| Ironman Triathalon | |
| Sept 11 | Repair Affair |
| Small Repair work around Oldham county. Contact www.OldhamCountyRepairAffair.com if you are interested. We need at least 5-8 guys/gals for each project. | |
| Sept 11 | Landscaping at LaGrange Elementary |
| Participate in yard work and landscaping at the local school campus from 9:00 am-noon. Meet at school. Bring gloves and tools. | |
| Sept 18 | Hospitals/Business Blast |
| Help deliver or show acts of kindness to hospital and local businesses from 9:30am - 12noon. Meet at CBC at 9:30am. | |
| Sept 25 | Maple Springs Block Party |
| 4:00 - 6:00pm. Minister to famililes at the Maple Spring Apartments through a block party (cookout, inflatable, fellowship, etc.). Need 20 volunteers. | |
| Sept 25 | the Closet |
| Help prepare the Closet for the winter season by sorting and packing current summer clothes. Meet at the Closet at 9am. Need 40-50 volunteers. | |
| Sept 26 | Worship Service |
| Celebrate all that God has done and is doing through the 40 days local ministry. | |
| Sept 26 | Missions Luncheon |

$5 per person/ $15 per family Quad 1214 at 12:15 PM. Jeff and Linda Sim will be the guest speakers, who will give us a report on the ministry involvement in the Lynch/Cumberland KY areas. We will also pray over the Dominican Republic mission team, hear mission trip updates from Lithuania, India, and Haiti, and have a breakout sessions to hear about the other domestic and international mission trips (Poland, Italy, Brazil, Colorado).
